Where Should I Go?

I have two free international tickets ($1000 p/person) that I won for work. I have to book my flight today and I have no idea where I should go. I am going for seven days and don't won't to break the bank. However I want to go somewhere far away from Chicago, preferably Europe. I was going to do Amsterdam but I would like a milder climate beacause I'm traveling Dec. 7-Dec. 14. Please give me some ideas.

To get around fairly cheaply, with a milder climate, I would recommend Greece.

I'd go to Amsterdam or Paris and just plan to bundle up. Obviously for warmer weather you need to go south, if you're wanting Europe.

If you really want nicer weather, why not consider Mexico? It's lovely early December at the coastal beach resort towns and cities.

Paris, Paris, and Paris! Best and easiest city to get around no matter what the weather. Stay near the Seine for convenience. The Madison Hotel on St. Germaine is a great idea.

Although Paris is hardly a "mild climate".

What do you mean by "mild climate". If you want to avoid the snow then avoid Scanawegia and eastern Europe.

Southern Europe is pretty warm and Spain has some lovely cities.

Mexico is cheap to fly to, so it wouldn't make sense to use your freebies to go there.

Wow, this is a short time-frame if you have to book the flight now and travel next week.

Where did you choose?

I wish I could win that. Actually, Mexico isn't that cheap to fly to a lot of the time, and that would be a good idea. It probably costs about the same as flying to Europe in December. I've spent more flying to/from Mexico in November than I would have to Europe.

What got me thinking Mexico, was you can pretty much guarantee gorgeous weather in early December most places. That's hardly true of Europe.

Just noticed you should have gotten the tickets on Wed.

What did you decide?
