Where in the World is NYCFoodSnob?

I kinda miss the gutsy old girl. Her direct and forceful food and fashion advice was just starting to influence my tasteless consumer behavior.

Hello Degas!!! I think it is you who is the giant influence here on the board. What? No more trip reports? I too miss NYCFOODSNOB. Hopefully, she will see this post and grace us with her words of wisdom soon. Perhaps she is too busy travelling, eating well and dressing fabulously to chat.

Hi Calamari

I expect even now she might be striding confidently down a small lane in Venice, dressed "to the nines" and bumping rubber-necking tourists into a canal as she heads towards a royal feast with a select group of rich, "in the know" locals.

Hey, I actually posted a real trip report on the US board a few weeks back - SF and the Coast.

I think she moved to London, perhaps in Mayfair? Or was that really Liverpool?

I think the kid still has the rich imagination but, lately, has had to work too many hours at Taco Bell, leaving no time to post.

I think Foodsnob is still at the BA Concorde lounge at JFK. Nobody has told her yet that the planes have been made redundant, so she keeps ordering more Krug. 250 days and still counting......

I hope Venice! And has met up with a new friend who knows of new and interesting little restaurants...and has a villa out in the Tuscan countryside that only manages to bottle a few thousand a year (too few to market in America)...its the olive oil that keeps the estate running...and his horses...

The kids must be bored. Thanks for the laugh, especially Thin's Concorde piece.

Someone had a last minute invite to the Venice Film Festival and who am I to resist an opportunity to hang with Nicole. (I would never bump somone into the canal without saying "excuse me" first.)

Only here for a short while before I go back. September and October are my favorite months to be in Europe.

Thank you all for thinking of me.
