Where do you park if visiting the Anne Frank Museum?

We will be going into Amsterdam and on our way out after visiting the Anne Frank Museum. Any suggestions as to where to park?

Are you staying in AMS at at hotel for any time? or this just a drive thru?

If the former, then leave at hotel and walk to the museum; otherwise, maybe there are parking lots, but I don't recall seeing any.

In a word, you probably won't be able to park nearby since parking spaces in A-Dam are very limited. If you are using a car I suggest you park elsewhere, in one of the public garages, etc., and either walk to the museum or take a taxi..much, MUCH easier.

Well, from experience: stay cool like you are now..ditch the car in some secure place and enjoy the environs of A-Dam....and if you get lost, well...it's Amsterdam and there are worse places to get lost. Enjoy the trip!

Maybe we were just naive and lucky, but we drove into town and parked along the street about a block from Anne Frank House. There was lots of metered parking and we were able to stay there for about 5 hours. We had intended to find one of the lots, but the only ones we saw were near the train station.

We really enjoyed taking the Museum Boat from place to place as it had 7 or 8, get-on-get-off, stops throughout the city and they were at all the major tourist places. We (4 of us) were able to split up and just meet each other at a given stop and arrange the times from the very accurate schedule they gave us.
