I'm in the beautiful desert of Southern California and the temps were in the upper 80's today and breezy. Getting ready to watch another beautiful sunset. They have been awesome lately!
We don't have any festival here that I know of.......

Beatchick....yea...it's pretty funny, but when I say it mentioned on THIS thread I was thinking..."hmmmm, where's Molvania? Never heard of it...perhaps in eastern Europe somewhere?" I mean so many countries have opened up now..so I was going to ask where it was and then I saw the post again and read it and it was too too funny and I'm just laughing at myself...the big time traveler here...for thinking it was real. Well, if the travel channel would have something on it besides poker I could learn more. Maybe we should ask Rick Steves if he is going to feature Molvania any time soon on one of his programs?

Hi Scarlett! A cold front (yeah!) pushed through San Antonio, TX last night and as of 12:30P the temperature is a lovely 64 degrees, winds gusting out of the north at 20-25 mph. While the fall changes here are subtle they exist--we have in our front yard two maple trees which will change color sometime in November. Early to mid November seems to be the best time to visit Lost Maples State Park, hill country, to view fall foliage. As I've stated before I miss living in Maryland this time of year but am grateful for the changes that do occur and I do find it beautiful in its own way. Happy trails!

Hi Scarlett: There are a few ghosts in them thar hills. There's no telling what "energy" you may have tapped into.
I used to take Mulholland Drive at dusk -- that used to be "creepy," what with 125 cars ahead of me...

QtBono, I lived on Woodrow Wilson Drive
facing the Hollywood sign..sigh.
Today I spent gardening and lying on a big blanket in the yard with Pup while the Yankee got the hammock, reading.
It is in the 70s, windy and dry..I almost love Florida today

Scarlett, the Blue Angels are so COOL to watch. They usually do shows here in Virginia Beach twice a year but this year they missed our "Neptune Festival" at the end of September due to hurricane issues in Pensacola.
We try to bribe our neighbors who have a rooftop deck with wine...sitting 4 stories up watching them fly over is just awesome...enjoy!!

I'm in Western Mass and after a beautiful week it's raining (reminds me of home...Wales).
This is my 3rd Fall in New England and this year the colours are the best I've seen..not just the multicoloured leaves but the clear blue skies too. The temperatures have been great too.. sunny days and cool, crisp evenings.
We did a little leaf peeping drive on Monday 11th disguised as a trip to the Megamaze at Davis Farmland (don't ask kids to look at scenery, right?). The maze was ...well amazing
it's made of corn stalks....and to pull in the European thread it's designed by a guy in Dorset, England!
Hoping for another perfect week...then bring on the snow!

Cape Town, South Africa- all dressed up and having a glass of wine while waiting to go for our usual friday night dinner at our local Italian Club..... just tweeking our taste buds for our trip to Italy etc in Dec/Jan
It's spring here, so the weather is a bit changeable. Today was a little chilly but yesterday was a glorious 28C and while I was baking my Christmas cakes and listening to our local radio station a whale alert was announced. I had promised myself that next time there were whales near where we live I would drop everything and go and have a look, so that's what I did. They were just at the end of our road, only two of them, but beautiful to watch them romping just beyond the breakers.
Great thread Scarlett

I'm at an internet cafe/laundromat in Salamanca, waiting for our laundry to dry. My sister was on a mission to tote a bag full of clean laundry to our lovely hotel.
We're staying at Hotel Rector here in Salamanca, which I think is the best hotel I've ever stayed in, all things considered. The staff is gracious and attentive and efficient, and our room (15) is lovely, the beds wonderfully comfortable.
The city is marvelous, all gold hued. Weather here today has been quite chilly, however, which would have been fine had I not ventured out without a sweater for our sightseeing venture earlier in the day.
Best wishes to all. I'll post a full report when we're back home.
