When are we going to have a Chicago get togther for area Fodorites?
I just wanted to know if anyone else is interested in getting something together for another Chicago Fodorite meeting? I thought that something was going to happen last fall but never heard anything? Please advise. Thanks!

I'd come. This is a good time of year, I would think, but for me, realstically that means this time of year in two thousand FIVE.
At our March GTG in Louisville, there was some sense of getting together again, and October (coinciding with the St. James Art fair weekend here) might be an appealing time - - though maybe not as soon as this fall? - - if "we" don't seem too far away. Or Indianapolis?

I'm not sure if the Chicago GTG ultimately got put together or not last year (although I know a good attempt was made by the person trying to organize it.) There was also an attempt some time back to organize something in the Twin Cities.

We had several gatherings back in early "fodorite" days -- 2000-2001. Since then there was the attempt last fall that is referred to.
It IS a lot of fun to put faces to names and to share pictures and stories and to pick brains. That's how I met Art and Richard [of LaGrange Park, formerly of Hickory Hills... ]
I'm very open to another one and would be willing to act as a clearing house for dates. Particularly if you accept my choice of Cafe Iberico [where Chicago "fodorites" have tended to meet.]
Send me you email addresses to [email protected] with two things:
1. A list of Saturdays you know you couldn't attend between now and the end of June and
2. Whether you prefer to meet around 11:0am or 2pm [the ealier time would be easier for getting seats at Cafe Iberico.
As soon as I get a "critical mass" of emails and info I will send out an "evite". If you don't hear from me either there isn't a "critical mass" or someone gave me a ticket to Paris and I'm outa here

Please keep me posted when time and date is finalized. First weekend in June looks good. I would enjoy getting out of Milwaukee for a day and visiting folks in our southern suburbs.
