Are we ever going to have a Chicago GTG for Fodorites?

Okay, I must admit that I would like to have a Chicago GTG in the VERY near future. Anyone else game? I understand that August is a big travel month but how about September or October? I have to bid my work schedule a month ahead so would love to firm something up really soon.

I live in the Detroit suburbs, but would come to Chicago for the GTG. Am I invited if I don't live in Illinois?

I might be interested. Would like to go to a GTG but have several things going in September and October. So it would depend on time and place, etc.

Meanwhile, have you posted this on the US board? Or in the Lounge? I suspect you'd get more response on those forums.

I do business in Chicago with some frequency...and can fabricate business there too. Looking at my schedule, I may be there the last weekend in September.

Love that city!

I'm game. No travel plans in Sept/Oct at the moment, but it's a little too early to know for sure.

Must be nice to have a social life..................just kidding! I will try and drum up some support around August and see if anyone would be interested in either Sept. or October.(This will give me some time to lose weight, look younger, etc.?)

I live in Oak Park, near the city. Retired teacher, so I have plenty time. Party on! Let me know.

dutyfree: You crack me up!! Seems as though most of my social get-togethers are based on whether I have recently lost weight or done something or other to look better, but I would never admit to that. You just plainly lay it out there: "Give me some time to lose weight, look younger, etc."

You are a hoot!

Is anyone available for October and if so-when? Would a Saturday or Sunday afternoon work or a dinner hour? Downtown or out near ORD? Time is clicking away people.............

lincasanovo, that is very close to me. I live on Berkshire, across the street from Taylor Park. A very historical and beautiful street. Will you be around for a GTG? I am retired now, so my time is very flexible. jg
