What's the best way to get from CDG to hotel?
Leaving next week for Paris, confused a bit on how to get to hotel. We arrive 11:30 am at CDG airport and are staying at Citadines Paris Voltaires Republique. What's the best and most efficient way to get there? I hear take Air France shuttle to Arc de Triumph, then cab it, isn't that out of our way????
thanks

If you want to take the Air France bus, take the one that goes to Gare Lyon, and then either take the cab, metro, or city bus from there.
Or take the RER + metro, or take a cab the whole way, or take a shuttle. But I won't comment on the best way - that's practically a religious topic in terms of the controversy generated

okay, maybe I should have left off "best." I'm getting a bit freaked out with postings about pickpockets and scams...my husband and I are 5th and 2nd degree black belts in tae kwon do, respectively, do we really need to worry about that?
ps. we're from detroit...

Starrsville is going say to take a taxi.
Roby is going to say take the RER.
Others will say combinations of shuttle, RER, taxi, walk.
How many are traveling? How much luggage do you have? Have you read the other threads about getting from CDG?
When I get off the plane, I like grabbing a taxi and going directly to my hotel. That is "best" for me.

I'd either use a concealed moneybelt and take the RER + metro, or I'd take a cab. I've yet to hear of anyone fending off pickpockets with martial arts - they don't really care if the victim is big or strong, but whether the would-be victim is sufficiently distracted or has his/her hands too full to react.
