What's on in Glasgow?
Along with hundreds of other librarians (sounds boring already but it's not!) I'm going to Glasgow next week for the annual IFLA Conference. Can anyone point me in the direction of a website that will tell me what's on in Glasgow between 18 - 23 August? Theatre and comedy listings would be especially appreciated. Thanks.

Try looking at the Glasgow Herald website - www.theherald.co.uk This might give you some pointers.

If you're particularly interested in theatre and comedy, though, the main action is in Edinburgh at the Fringe. The Scotsman newspaper usually has a good section on this - www.scotsman.com

The Glasgow tourist board at http://visitors.seeglasgow.com/ has a searchable events index. Also, this isn't a website, but when you arrive you can pick up a copy of The List, a magazine that has lots of listings of what's going on in Edinburgh and Glasgow, kind of like Time Out does for London.
