I used to enjoy Ben's comments and suggestions regarding my favorite corner of Europe, but he seems to be MIA. No comments here and his website hasn't changed in months. I couldn't find any threads where he remarked about any upcoming trips on his part. I'd hate to lose a great storehouse of information. His suggestions for accomodations made Germany affordable for my family and I.

If you will notice the picture at the top of the website, it mentions the 10th anniversary Stammtisch in Urach in 2009. Since this usually occurs in Sept/Oct, I imagine he is over there now and hopefully we can expect some more trip reports in the next month or so.

Thanks Zeus for your concern. You are right that I have slowed down in my commenting on the German forum. Not any fault of Fodor's I assure you - just laziness on my part. There are so many experienced and knowledgeable posters on this forum I seldom see the need of putting in my two cents when most of what I would say had already been said. My excuse lately has been getting ready for a trip - enjoying it to the max - and now winding down. bigtyke is right in that our Stammtisch group recently celebrated our Tenth Anniversary by coming together for two days of socializing at our favorite little Gasthaus in the Black Forest - great fun... No trip report from me yet but today I added several accommodation recommendations to my homepage and hope to be adding many more when the majority of our group returns stateside... Ben
