What type of stores are in the Kenginston High Street Tube Station

Since this is so close to our hotel I was wondering what type of shops are in the station and around.

Thanks for taking the time.

HEY! NO SPAM!!!

Now, for Mamaw...your typical chain stores are nearby, like Marks & Spencer, Boots, the Body Shop, the ever present McDonalds.

There are other stores around, but I wasn't paying too much attention the last time I was there.

Enjoy, when are you off?

Now, dear esteemed editors...could you edit my post and edit out the "hey, no spam" part?

You could try this guide - I don't know how up to date it is:

When we stayed near KHS Station in 2005, there was a Boots, an M&S, a Pret a Manger, a couple clothing stores, and a couple gift shops. Along the street itself, there are much more - a computer store, a McDonalds (ugh), a laundromat, a camera store, a grocery store, and various others... we stayed in Tara Copthorne and had a great time.

There's also one of those ubiquitous scarf shops...Tie Rack?

On the street around the corner (perp. to KHS, heading to the Tara Copthorne) there's a Thai restaurant that was pretty good.

There's a new (since last April) Whole Foods market on the High Street. There is a Pret-a-Manger
in the station if you'd like a quick sandwich. Caffe Nero became our morning coffee and muffin stop on the corner of the Wright's Lane and KHS. There is also a breakfast place, Muffin Man, on Wright's Lane which has a decent breakfast. Have fun!

In addition to Whole Foods Market you can buy food here at a large Tesco's supermaret on the High Street - open long hours everyday.

Holland Park is tucked just off Ken High Street and is one of London's most popular places for a stroll, esp on weekends

don't miss it - peacocks too

We bought pasties in the station last fall at Cornwall Pasty Shop. Mine was delicious!

We walked in Holland Park (it was mid-October) and saw little children playing in the sandboxes in their winter coats. It amused us because, where I live, we consider sandboxes summer fun and put them as far away from the house as possible so that as much of the sand as possible can fall off as the kids come across the yard to get inside.

I wasn't particularly excited by the shops, but I did find a good cafe just across from the tube station for a cheaper-than-usual afternoon tea.

There are fun, one of a kind dress shops and antique stores on Kensington Church St which runs perpendicular from Kensington High St. It is a smaller road and leads to Nottinghill Station. There are also some cafes and pubs . . .
