I believe it is called the Sinueuse (sp) very romantic hotel on Amalfi Coast of Italy.
also-haven't stayed here but the Senat hotel in Paris looks beautiful-new and luxurious without the Rue de Rivoli price.

What nytraveler said.
Most honeymooners are exhausted from all the pre-wedding planning and activities. So I think taking it slow is the most important thing (after the choice of spouse). So I'd pick someplace relatively easy to get to and stay there awhile.
Not only do I love Venice, but it doesn't require a lot of frantic touristing. Just walking around town getting lost is appropriate sightseeing.

Having just returned from Rome, I did not feel the romantic vibe (felt it with my sweetheart but not from the city) I have felt in places like Arles, Paris, Florence, and Venice. Twelve days with two days basically out for flying in and out? Ten days I'd split between Florence and Venice or Paris (for the entire trip-two different romantic hotels)
or Paris/Southern France like Arles. Open jaw flight for sure.
Congratulations on your upcoming marriage!
