Paris-most romanic city?

Is it true Paris is the most romantic city in the world? What makes it so? or is it only romantic to those who believe in romance?<BR>Can one truly appreciate Paris alone?

Hi<BR>"One" can truly appreciate Paris alone, but "Another" may not. Like any place else, it works for some people and not for others.<BR>Paris is very dear to my heart, and I've been there accompanied as well as solo. When I'm on my own it may not be as romantic an experience as in l'amour, but it is certainly romantic<BR>in its old-world architecture, narrow streets, centuries-old historic sights, outdoor markets, museums full of treasures, find food, etc etc.<BR><BR><BR>I have a file on Paris; if you'd like to see it, email me.

We visited Paris on our honeymoon. I loved the city, but I didn't think it was the most romantic place we visited in Europe. It was a city, whereas "romance" to me is quiet and reflective. We had a wonderful time visiting, but the most romantic place we went was Lucerne.

Even the Parisians will admit that Venice is the most romantic city in the World.
