Most of those that do not start with a description of the flight, degenerate into a cursory description of what we've already seen, and end with what we all ready know.

Pausanias, I'll try to remember that when I write my next trip report.

Bit too much champagne. Confused already with all right. Whole thing sounds silly in the light of day.

Best to all who take the trouble to churn one out.

JJBhoy's reports about his trips to New York with his Scots friends and then his children, which is still unfinished, last I looked.

I just read Theresa10's (I loved Rome!) report on their big family trip and it's one of the best I've read. (and really long...)

None of this pretentious Europhile crap and she and her family are just hysterical.

fairfax,

Thanks for your kind comments on my NY trip reports. We had builders working at home in the 2 months leading up to Christmas so I simply couldn't find the time to work on my 2nd report. One on my New Year resolutions is to get back to work on it, however, so keep your eyes open!

TravelGirls's Trip of a Lifetime - had that one bookmarked for the entire trip!

I recently came across some of Degas' reports - so funny - the hubby was often wondering what I was chuckling about.

There have been many good ones, so it's hard to pick out a "best". For an exceptional writing style and lovely descriptions (plus lots of useful information) I like OReilly's (Ger's) reports. She did a wonderful one on the Dordogne.

Bookmarking as well -- since searching for these is often futile.
Thanks!
