What else to do around Montmarte?

I am planning on heading to Montmarte and Sacre Coeur on a Tuesday. I figure a lot of the museums are closed.

I don't think we can make an entire day out of Montmarte and Sacre Coeur. What are some ways we can whittle away our day or make good use of it after roaming Montmarte?

Once you finish touring Sacre Coeur, the Montmartre Museum, strolling around all the artists at Place de Tertre, take a walk down Avenue des Abbesses, then turn down Rue Lepic toward the Moulin Rouge. There are wonderful shops, markets, cafes, and restaurants lining the streets.

Take a picture of the Moulin Rouge, then hop on the metro right there at Place Blanche and head back to wherever you desire. It's really a fun area to explore. We spent a week at an apartment near the Sacre Coeur.

Private covered malls built in the 19th century. Do a search on passages and you will get a lot of information.

Check out the Montmartre Cemetery. Quite a few famous people are interred there, including film director Francois Truffaut and the dancer who invented the Can-Can. The entrance is at the end of Av. Rachel, off Blvd. de Clichy (about two blocks from Moulin Rouge).

mdtravel - Don't forget to wander down the otherside of the hill and check out the beautiful little vineyard where grapes are harvested in October. I stood on the garden wall oposite to get a good picture.

Piggybacking onto this thread..thanks to the above for the additional suggestions. I've been to Paris but have yet to visit Sacre Coeur or environs and the info posted just reinforces the long-held desire to go there for a look around.
It is also refreshing to see some posts about Paris that are NOT loaded with the all too frequent "I know all the Arrondisements and you don't" Paris-by-the-numbers chatter. Thanks to all.
