Limey - Their online reservation form says fax or e-mail.

Some feedback on reservations in Rome & Florence
I recently made reservations (using the advice provided in this thread) for the Uffizi & Accademia using the phone - this worked very efficiently - the woman helping me appeared to have an English accent and advised me to take at least 2 hours for the Uffizi and to do David in the afternoon. That is on Oct 3.
I have faxed a request for the Vatican tour on October 7 for the not realising that they don't confirm until a couple of days before hand - we are leaving home 10 days beforehand so I'm having my house sitters forward the confirmation to our villa in Lucca.
The Borghese website booking form won't clickover into October so I phoned them yesterday and made the reservation over the phone.
Fingers crossed that everything works out. Thanks to all the posters with all the info on what to do. Otherwise I'm sure we would have just rocked up and faced frustrating queues.

In the morning I had a choice of 9.00am and 11.00am. I chose 9.00am and we have to be there by 8.30 to pay for our tickets.
I would give them a call if you don't get an answer. they are closing for a few days next week.
Good Luck

This is confusing; Do I need a reservation to see the Sistine Chapel? Or is it to bypass waiting in lines that I should book a reservation through the Vatican website? Some say even though you have a reservation it does not guarantee you will not wait in lines?? I will be in Rome on the 25,26 and 27th of March. Anyone have any ideas if there will be long lines then? Or if there are better times to avoid lines? I am assuming Sun. is out. Perhaps that would be the day to see the Forum and Colossium?
Someone mentioned getting tickets to the Colosseum at the entrance to the Palatine and it allows you to bypass lines? Does anyone know how much the ticket costs?
Thanks

Traveler2 - The Vatican is changing their admission rules/times, but haven't made it official on their website. They are going to let certain tour companies in between opening and 10 am. The general public will be allowed in starting at 10. They should have the new info on the web in the next few weeks.

The Sistine Chapel is inside the Vatican museum so the lines are to get in the museum. The museum is open the last Sunday of the month with free admission.

kybourbon: Do you feel that when the new rules are implemented that it will be easier to get into see the Sistine Chapel without a reservation? Or??
If I understand you correctly; To see the Sistine Chapel I must get the Vatican Museum tour or admission? I wasn't aware of that, which is definitely good to know.
Do you feel it is necessary to reserve a Vatican tour so that we do not have to wait in line?
I just realized that we will be there the last Sunday of the month? Would you say that Sunday would have a large crowd? Should we avoid that day or can we make reservations for that Sunday?
If we take the tour, does that mean we have to stay with the tour and see the museum? I really wanted to go at our own pace and see just the Sistine Chapel.
One other thing, it says to wear proper attire? What do women have to wear?
I hope you don't mind all these questions but you seem to have the answers so far. I really do appreciate your help!
