In my biased opinion, (we've stayed at The Westminster many times), The Westminster offers more spacious and affordable rooms than The West End. It has lovely seaview rooms with small balconies overlooking the street and the Mediterranean. The staff is quite helpful, and the location very good. I wouldn't worry too much about noise, since The Westminster has soundproofed windows. If you decide to go, check the U.S. tollfree number for the hotel, since it seems to offer more favorable rates than the website, etc.
Good luck!

Hi Robbie, I can only speak for the West End, but it was quite nice and the location is great, just like the Westminster. I only stayed there because we got a great rate at ratestogo.com, @ 100 euros a night. It was too good to pass up IMO. The rooms were small, but charming. We had a city view of Musee Massena's lovely park, which was lovely too. So Robbie, you have 2 answers, I hope this helps you with your decision. Judy

Robbie,
The rate that Judy quoted is a lot cheaper than I think you'll find at The Westminster. Both hotels are virtually in the same location, just a block or two apart on the Promenade des Anglais. The seaview rooms at The Westminster are larger than some of the rooms we saw at The West End, and the view was wonderful, but the added expense may not be worth it to you.
Good luck, whatever you decide!

Robbie,
Have only stayed at the West End. This was a few years back and at that time some rooms on our floor were under construction. Although we had a lovely view of the bay, we found the rooms small. The rooms must have not been soundproofed as we could hear conversations in next room most of the evening. As we arrived 9 p.m from a grueling all day drive we took what we could get. Next day we moved out, as planned, to stay at a the hotel of choice in Cap d'Antibes. The hotel is right on the main avenue where all the happenings are if that is what you prefer. In answer to your question, yes, definately we had a lovely view from our room.
