Wengen-Switzerland; room with a fireplace

Ending a crazy busy cruise and want to spend a few days in Wengen with a good book, near the fireplace, in my PJ's, wth a great view!
Does anyone know of either a hotel or small chalet (sp?) maybe even a small house for 2 nights that have a fireplace in the room, not in the main lobby?

Hi koryandleslie,

I think you'll have some problems with your request --

During the ski season, most hotel rooms and apartments will rent for a full week, not just a few nights.

I just looked through the hotels on the Wengen website, and none of them show fireplaces in the rooms.

Normally there are 3-6 apartments in a chalet, so you probably won't want to rent the entire chalet.

I've heard great things about the company Chalet Services in Wengen, so you may email them and see if it's possible to rent for just two nights in one of their apartments, and if they have fireplaces.

Have fun as you plan!

Fireplaces in hotel rooms are highly unlikely because of safety reasons.

Any small houses, more like a rustic home or something with a fireplace?

Agree with Swandav that Chalet Service is very reliable and a good way to go. They do rent apartments in chalets that have fireplaces. Send Dorothee an email at [email protected], tell her when you will be there and what you are looking for. She will let you know if they have anything available that fits your needs.
