Website I can't find!

I got an email about a week ago from a site (I think one word),
offering discounted trips to be paid now and used in 24 months.
One was to Paris (3 or 4 nites, don't recall) 4-5 star hotel and airfare for about $379.00.
I wanted to book it but can't find it now.

Anyone have an idea ? I've tried googling..

Thanks

I get all sorts of similar alerts from travelzoo. Could that be the one you are looking for?

So, you are willing to send money to a website you have never heard of before so that two years from now you could get a discounted trip? That takes real faith in your fellow man, the world economy, and your future health and ability to take time off to travel. I say put your money in the bank.

True - but one TravelZoo offer I very nearly did jump at was for one of my favorite hotels in London (a high 4 star / close to 5 star property) where you could buy a voucher from TZ for a VERY discounted room rate for 2, 3 or 4 nights and then contact the hotel to book the actual stay. But the expiration date was June 30 2021 so I passed. Gave it serious consideration though - if one couldn't nail down travel dates, it was totally refundable (the refund would be from TZ and not the hotel).

My guess is there will be many more such offers the longer the covid impacts are felt.

Isn't it either in your old mail or trash folder? You would have had to deliberately erase it if it weren't in Trash. Besides, I don't get randome emails from any vendor unless I have deliberatley signed up to get their newsletters/sales, so who are you subscribed to? I do get random spam, more now than before, but it's never from a legitimate website or travel vendor.

It sounds like something Tavelzoo or Priceline might have

I agree, there are many scam travel sites out there offering travel discounts. Be careful mate!

They don't even have to be conscious scams. A company that needs funds now to survive the month may well offer some pay now for the future deals in hopes of getting some cash and not going belly up now. Wanna bet the payments now for future travel will be used up before the travel must be supplied?

Sorry but I've forgotten the name of the site too. But a couple of weeks ago I did a search for reviews of said site. In one instance, the person took a chance and booked accommodation. She was planning to visit Paris but the hotel she got was out near Disney. She wasn't happy about it but plans to take the trip.

Sorry, but if she didn't know where the hotel was when she booked she either . . . used Priceline or Hotwire and didn't do adequate research, or she can't read a map.
