VRBO # 38764 in Paris - anyone ever rent this apartment?

Please forgive me, fellow posters, for an error in my previous post. I asked for the wrong vrbo apartment #. The correct one is #38764. We will be visiting Paris in April, and this apartment (on the website - www.vrbo.com/38764) looks nice and sounds like what we are looking for, and in the arrondisement we would like to stay in. Any first-hand accounts from fellow Fodor-ites? Many thanks....

It looks fine for one person but I've never rented an apartment. Maybe they are all like that size.

PegS - wow! would have never found that! a perfect description of this very apartment near the end of the thread!! Thank you so very, very much. I believe we will go ahead with confirming the rental. With my appreciation to you.
Rex - I've seen ttt and topping written before in these threads, and I looked it up after clicking the red "help" button, but, forgive me - I'm relatively new to the forum - I still don't understand what these terms mean - to the top of what?
coccinelle - this apartment is a studio, so it's not going to be very large, but will be just perfect for an old married couple like hubby and me. I don't believe that they are all that size. Thanks for reponding.

teaberry: "To the top", "ttt", and "topping" all mean the poster is bring the thread to the top of the list. When something new is posted the thread moves up to #1.

Threads drop off the 1st 50 very fast (well, slower now that activity in fodors has slowed quite a bit) so when someone wants to help out but doesn't have anything new to add they just post ttt.

You're welcome. I "topped" your post because I wanted to give a boost.. in response to your re-posting, with an informative message header.

Best wishes,

Rex

My wife and I prefer to stay in apartments if we will be in one location for a week or longer, so, while I have not stayed at that particular apartment, from their website it looks nice (my experience is that the web sites generally do a very good job of representing fact).

The location sounds nice, and it is very well equipped. We particularly value a washer/dryer as it lets us carry fewer clothes so we have more space in our luggage for things we pick up. Its not on a very high floor with or without elevator (often retrofitted elevators are tiny and you have to take turns using them).

The things that might concern me about the apartment are the couch/bed, which I think might be less comfortable than a true bed, and the add-on charges for cleaning and departure cleaning (many apartments include these costs in their rate, rather than adding them on.) I'm not saying I wouldn't stay there because of these things; they are just items that I would consider in comparing apartments.

cleveland brown, your concerns were mine also. but from reading the end of the thread posted by PegS, i feel more assured that the bed will be comfortable. I emailed the owner, and she assured me that there would only be a final cleaning fee, that's all. And, all in all, it looks and sounds like it will more than meet our needs for the week. I'll post here when I return, for sure, PegS (although you may hear from me sooner with other logistical questions!) Thanks again!
