Visting the Louvre

My plane should arrive in Paris at 0900.
After going to my hotel and dropping my bags, I would like to see the Louvre. Since I will not get there first thing in the morning. are there other tips for dealing with the lines? Also, I could do the Louvre on the second day (first thing in the morning).Any advice? I only have two full days in Paris.

..don't spoil the visit by going after a long flight. Postpone it to day 2 if you are jetlagged..if travelling locally, my suggestion (esp if you have other museums on your list) is to buy a museum card if the lines look long..ditto for the Orsay.

Depends on when this is as well. In late November the lines were quite short at the Pyramid. That said, even shorter if you go in "underground".
Are you arriving from the America's or Canada? Then jet lag may make you feel off-ish. If you are not, then your plan is good.
Even if jet-lagged, you could simply take it easy...and see all you want to see without running around in a frenzy.
Sit down when you can an admire...

What days of the week are your two days? The Louvre is closed on Tuesdays.

You can buy a museum card at a smaller museum that has no lines, then use it at the Louvre to bypass the line.

Or you could go check out the line first. If you do not enter through the pyramid, you may find the lines are insignificant.

When i visited the Louvre in Feb i exited via the southern wing's westernmost door and this is also an entrance where you can buy tickets and i believe lines could be shorter.

This tip has been around for years in guidebooks and it still could be valid.
