Villa rental in Montalcino?

Hi, we were originally planning a trip for 2007, but have decided to move it up to this summer, and are thinking of renting a villa or staying at an Agritourismo in Montalcino. We are 2 families of 4.

Can anyone recommend anything, or good websites for rentals?

Thank you!

Have you checked www.slowtrav.com? Lots of information about renting villas in Italy, including rental reviews and reviews of rental agencies.

I don't know much about agriturismos but 8 people seems like a lot for one of them. On the other hand, assuming your group includes children, they might really enjoy a farm visit.

Did a quick Google search and found this link http://www.agriturismo.com/englisch.htm. If you do an advanced search, you can specify location and the number of people/rooms. * doesn't look like a problem.

You might want to check out Vacanza Bella - they "do" villas in Tuscany and Umbria and have a pretty wide selection. But the suggestion to go to Slow Travel is right on - there you will find links to all sorts of rental agents.

Hi Nina,
try
tuscany.net

You can plug in your type of accomodation, location, budget, amenities, etc. And there are lots of photos.
Then check tripadvisor.com for reviews.

Have fun!

Also try Parker Villas---www.parkervillas.com We rented through them near Siena last May and were very happy. I know some think they are high on the price chain and they may be right, but we found the quality and the customer service to be excellent.
