Gloriaed, park yourself in front of the computer for a few hours on the www.slowtrav.com website. They have fantastic vacation reviews there. Very detailed, lists pros and cons, etc., plus links to the websites in question. That's how we found our villa in Umbria and it turned out to be a great place. (Wouldn't do for you, though. Too small.)

You can also try (and I personally recommend)
www.cottagestocastles.com
and
www.indiv-travellers.com

equally:
www.tuscanynow.com
and
www.villa-rentals.com

that covers a pretty wide range in terms of propertys, amenities and prices... you should find something to look forward to. These companies are all excellent in person too and can be reached by phone for a more personable experience - strongly recommended.

Have a good holiday!

At the advise of many here, I recently booked a week through Tuscany.net. The property descriptions are very detailed. They put you in direct contact with the owner and all of my inquiries as well as my reservation were handled in a very timely and efficient manner.

my boss went through www.tuscanestates.com
and was very happy with them. we had some confusion upon arrival as my boss not did not clarify the house name and there are two casanuova (one is "di sicelle&quot but it all worked out. the house had everything she had requested. luckily location wasn't a factor for us as the house we were in was south tuscany and the other north.
she did say she would use them again if they have properties in france. 20+ is a lot of people though. good luck!
