Vienna hotel

We are arriving in Vienna 2 days early for a Grand Circle river boat trip. The boat will be moored at Handelskai. Could you recomment a nice, reasonable hotel $200 more or less? Thank you, Joy

Your budget is for how many people and for how many nights?

You can always check out available hotels on Booking.com. They have a variety of prices to choose from and book fast because they have promotions for most of the hotels.

We stayed at the Schweizerhof some time ago. It is not fancy, but is conveniently located.

Gets a "VG" at http://www.booking.com

Enjoy your visit.

We stayed in a nice, comfortable but not luxury hotel that you won't find on booking.com. It's located on the river side of the historical center, a couple blocks from the Schwedenplatz U-bahn station, less than 10 minutes' walk to St. Stephans and about 15 minutes' walk to the Hofburg. It's in the same general area as the Schweitzerhof but gets better reviews.

I stayed in the K + K Palais Hotel last summer. The rates were reasonable. It is very close to 2 Ubahn (subway) stations, walking distance to St Stephens and other sites, and is on a quiet square. You can request a room facing the square. Breakfast is included in the rate. The hotel's website can be cheaper than other sites.

You can always take a taxi to your river boat wherever you stay. I would select a hotel that is near to what you want to see and do in Vienna rather than its proximity to your cruise departure site.
