Vienna apartment rentals

HI All,
I am curious if any of you have had recent stays in a Vienna apartment? We are thinking of taking a trip in summer 2008 and am considering an apartment. We are two adults, two kids and possibly my husband's Austrian mother (coming from the states) with us. Any recommendations?

Also, do any of you recommend pension hotels? I have heard they are nice in Austria. Thanks.

We stayed here in November for 100 euro a night...full kitchen. It was wonderful, and would work for you with 2 kids. If grandma is coming along they have a bigger one less than a block away. I LOVED the owners, and the apartments have everything right down to internet access and a cell phone you can buy a local sim card with. Great folks, and you don't need a car for anything.

Thanks Conky.
The one down the street, is it the Opernring 4?
The apartments do look nice and have all the necessities. I notice no Air conditioning and wonder if this is an issue in June?
Is the location good for sightseeing? I haven't really started my research on Vienna.
Thanks again and thanks to Joe, I will check out the Pension Pertschy.

We stayed at the Pertschy in 2001 and it was perfect for us. So convenient for walking everywhere. I stayed there twice that year- in March (my daughter was studying in Vienna and I was there for a week) and then the whole family went over in June for another stay and I liked it enough that we decided to stay there again.

Hotel Deutschmeister has not only rooms, but also appartments to rent, minimum stay five days.

http://www.city-hotels.at/appartemen...eister_eng.htm

Location: Not central (in Vienna, central is inside the inner city or first district), but in a nice and also interesting neighbourhood (Servitenviertel, Servitenkirche; or Serviten quarter around Serviten Church) called Rossau , being part of the 9th or Alsergrund district. Here you find all your daily needs, as the appartments have a small kitchenette. The Appartments are at a distance of afifteen or twenty minute walk away from the Ring, a subway station (Rossauer Lände) is to be found at a distance of a walk of five minutes.

Thanks everyone. The Pertschy looks very nice as well. I will check the other apartments mentioned by hhilde.
Is not having A/C an issue in the summer? We are looking ahead because we may try to get tickets to the European Cup. It all depends on cost and such. We are big soccer (futbol) fans! Thanks all
