Search for acqua alta here on this forum. A "flood" in Venice lasts for 3-6 hours typically, and March is not ordinarily a time of high occurrences.

Best wishes,

Rex

Bringing your message back up "to the top" since you are brand new here (how did I know that? Click on your own name - - a tip for finding any post you have ever made - - that Fodors fails to divulge to all new registrants, when they send you that confirmatory e-mail).

Hi jesseberry. Flooding should not be a problem in March. You should not be surprise if it rains though and since Venice is on the water keep in mind it can get cold so pack accordingly. The layered type of clothing would work best.

IF there is some flooding,as Rex said, it does not last long and keep in mind that the flooding is in Piazza San Marco so for those few hours you can go elsewhere in Venice.

You're welcome. This thread, and the following message was sent to [email protected] - -

==========

I wince, every time I read about a new resitrant who came close to having a frustrating, never-come-back experience like this. The usefulness and enjoyment by all of this forum depends critically on the continuous infusion of new registrants and their having a good experience here.

Would it be so hard to give them just a few pointers when the auto-registration-acknowledgement e-mail mesage is sent out?

Or even acknowledge my e-mail messages to you about this?

Best wishes,

Rex Bickers

Maybe it would mean something if you added your perspectives as a new registrant, and sent this to them as well. Click on "e-mail this..."
