venice weather in spring?
staying in st marks in march will we get flooded?
|
Search for acqua alta here on this forum. A "flood" in Venice lasts for 3-6 hours typically, and March is not ordinarily a time of high occurrences.

Hi jesseberry. Flooding should not be a problem in March. You should not be surprise if it rains though and since Venice is on the water keep in mind it can get cold so pack accordingly. The layered type of clothing would work best.
IF there is some flooding,as Rex said, it does not last long and keep in mind that the flooding is in Piazza San Marco so for those few hours you can go elsewhere in Venice. |
Thanks for your help on floods, clothes and how to use the site!!! It still took me five minutes to work out what you meant!!
Thanks jesse |

========== I wince, every time I read about a new resitrant who came close to having a frustrating, never-come-back experience like this. The usefulness and enjoyment by all of this forum depends critically on the continuous infusion of new registrants and their having a good experience here. Would it be so hard to give them just a few pointers when the auto-registration-acknowledgement e-mail mesage is sent out? Or even acknowledge my e-mail messages to you about this?
