Venice to Milan Airport (MXP)

Due to come odd travel arrangements, we are departing from our hotel in Venice the morning of May 1 and racing to Milan Airport (MXP) for a flight at 15:40. What is the best way to accomplish this??? We prefer trains. Thanks in advance.

See www.trenitalia.com for train schedules. The Malpensa Express will take you the rest of the way. It doesn't sound so terribly difficult a schedule to me.

Best wishes,

Rex

Rex, Thanks, but I believe the Malpensa Express leaves from Cardona Station and the train from Venice arrives at Central. Also, on trenitalia, how do you reference mxp? I can't seem to find it.

Oh. Sorry. I didn't know that.

So, it might have to be cab to Cadorna, to catch the train. It's not on Trenitalia, because it's a separate little regional line, called ferrovienord.it

Hi redc. Having read your thread I have a question for you. Have you considered flying from the Venice Airport to the Milpensa airport? If I were you I would check into this. Just a thought. Sure hope you get this worked out.

Hi redc, I just checked the train schedule and the first train departs Santa Lucia train station in Venice at 7:52am and gets into the Centrale Station in Milan a few minutes before 11:00am How soon before depature do you need to check in at Milpensa? One hour or two. If you need to check in two hours in advance that would give you 2 hours and 40 minutes to get from the Centrale Train Station in Milan to the other train station and then the train to Milpensa. Check the train website schedule that Rex gave you and see if there is a train to get you to Milpensa that would work with your schedule. Oh, the joys of travelling, sigh.
