venice hotel decisions

we like all the input about hotel violino d'or. we can stay there september 10-13 for 220 euro per night for 3 nights. it is nonsmoking, private bath and airconditioned. also near st. marks. before we book, what are your thoughts and suggestions. any other place have a greater advantage?

your input would be appreciated. hotel flora and locanda sturion are also possible.

jim and camille

I don't know Violono d'Or but I think it is good. Did you ask if they have an elevator? Locanda Sturion, for all the praises it gets, does not have one.

Best wishes,

Rex
jim and camille,

i checked the violino d'oro website and it does not appear they have an elevator, but it is only 3 floors and looks quite impressive. 220 euro is a better price than the venice.com site and if you are in shape, the elevator issue should be mute.

geno

Locanda Sturion has a beautiful view of the Rialto bridge and the Grand Canal, it's worth even without elevator.
