Venice Dinner Cruise

A friend of my wife, told her about a Dinner Crise on the Grand Canal that leaves from the dock near The Hotel Marconi. Does anyone know anything about this? Or anything similar. I tries the usual sites with no success.

Hi Gardoz - Was dinner actually on the boat?

The APT website lists a -
Musical serenade by Gondola with dinner at the 'Al Giglio'.

It's my understanding that the dinner was on the boat while cruising the Grand Canal

Never heard or seen such on the Grand Canal (have been to Venice about 10 times if that means anything.). Cannot be the usual "gondolas" since they are not made for that. Considering the busy traffic (water bus, taxi, gondolas ) on the Grand Canal, it's hard to imagine a dinner boat such as the ones on the Seine in Paris. The Grand Canal is not that large.

Maybe you read about the Eolo....a boat that cruises the lagoon. The staff offers day/evening cruises that include a meal.
When you check out this site...scroll to the bottom to check out day cruises.

So as I thought, the dinner cruise is not on the Grand Canal but on the lagoon where many tour cruise boat passe. The route might includes also Giudecca Canal. The Grand Canal is just not large enough for that.
