Venice Attractions

We will be in Venice for 4 nites and 3 days in July. Is the Venice Card worth purchasing to see the attractions and use the bus and water taxis?

We used the Venice card and really liked it. Whenever we travel and use public transportation I like unlimited use passes.

With these type of passes, you're not constantly worrying about what it's going to cost. If you make a mistake and go the wrong way it's no problem. If you get tired of walking and take a vaporetto for just a little ways, it's no problem.

Also with free admissions(not really, I guess prepaid) it doesn't feel like you're constantly shelling out more money for yet another museum or whatever.

Lots of people feel that these passes aren't worth it. I purposely don't add up what I've used against what I spent. I like the convenience.

Be sure you know what the card covers. The "attractions" you are referring to are mainly museums. If you feel that you would be going to the museums and using the vaporettas a lot, then I would say yes.

If you don't need all the museum features, you can just buy a 72-hour unlimited transport pass. It is good for 72 actual hours, from the time you first stamp it for use, so could work for your entire visit--for example, noon Day 1 to noon Day 4. The price is about 25 euros. One ride on the Grand Canal costs about 5 euros, so even if you only ride twice a day it's worth it.

Can anyone tell me how much a vaporetto ride is by itself? The 48 hour pass seems very costly. Also, what do they mean by the nurseries/toilets? Are there public bathrooms around the city and how much do those usually cost to use? Thanks! This is just the first I've heard of this card.

Thanks for that link. Those rates are much better than the Venice Card. Since we would be just using the vaporetto, I will get this one I think!

What do you mean "Venice attractions"? ALL of Venice is an attraction. Need I say more?
