VATfree purchases

There is a new services where you can regain the VAT you paid on any article you purchased in any shop in the Netherlands.

If you are living outside the EU and taking the article with you, that is.

smeeh: Welcome to Fodors. Unfortunately, advertising on here is not allowed.

You may ask why I think you are advertising - well your e-mail address is in the NL, as is this supposed "service", - and you registered simply to post this.

Better to spend yout time improving your website instead of advertising on travel forums . . . . .

"It really helped me!" Yeah - sure you are "taxfree_tourist"

Of course, you did register this morning just to support your original post as "smeeh".

Pretty transparent IMHO . . . . .

so if i buy a candy bar and take it out i can get a VAT refund - and in any shop - should i save all my receipts for small souvenirs i pick up - tulip bulbs, etc. There must be a minimum limit on the amount spent, etc.

Well.. there is a minimum of 50 Euro in TOTAL which you should register. But hey, I bought shampoo, small souvenirs and some clothes and received my refund over all. But there is no restriction of the amount you need to spend in each store.
