'Vacations To Go' -Legit?

In recent trips two separate travelers suggested looking at 'Vacations To Go' for deep travel discounts. We have become a bit hooked on the QM2 transatlantic crossing and in comparing fares it looks like there are extraordinary deals through 'V2G' even when comparing fares available on the Cunard website. We usually book directly with the airline/hotel/vendor as it just seems easier to resolve issues or problems....but this gets your attention. Is booking through this type of third party OK...and how do they offer these lower fares? Thx...

The positive reviews on Trustpilot sound slightly like planted fake posts.

They sure do....the ones complaining certainly sound for real, though. Funny how we would run into two separate people who seem to be satisfied yet their track record looks frightful. I've gone to booking directly with hotels airlines etc. if something goes wrong...which it often does...at least there is some accountability and implied assistance. For the cost difference -if any - seems to be more reliable. Thanks again.

In the past, I booked several Caribbean cruises starting at Miami/Fort Lauderdale and a "repositioning cruise" Salvador da Bahia - Genoa, with Vacations to go
Everithing worked perfectely.
Once I had to cancel one of them and it took a certain time to get the documents requested by my travel insurance company. But finally, it worked.

Vacations to go offers big discounts on cabins still unsold a few months before the cruise which couldn't 'be sold at the catalogue price because of low demand.
For popular cruises in high season, discounts are minimal.

Ya makes yer bets and ya takes yer chances! It's a jungle out there. I do agree I have had pleasant experiences in places others have reported and reviewed as quite horrid, but at my age and with lower tolerance for disruptions and hassles I kind of bypass middlemen and discounters in case something blows up. Appreciate everyone's opinions.
