Vacation rentals in Paris?

Anyone have any suggestions for vacation rentals in Paris? We would just stay for one week. Any advice is appreciated.

I used rentparis.com in May 2001. The service was excellent. You can look up what they have to offer on their website. Any questions, please feel free to e-mail at [email protected]

Hi, Elaineh!
Try www.beauparis.com for apartments direct from the owners... nicely located and better value than the ones through the agents. Only about twenty-five in their books, however!

Alan, www.beauparis.com gets a women's fashion house web site. Will you please give the web address again?

I have used aparisianhome.com many times with great results. Their inventory runs from very basic and inexpensive to upscale. I've always found the apartments to be very clean and their customer service very good.

Thanks, Mclaurie, for that correction. Anyway, TC, I hope you got something stunning and pricey from the fashion house, so it wasn't a total loss!

We just returned from Paris this week & rented from panacherentals.com. Very good & easy to deal with & we were traveling w/an infant. Also liked Parisperfect but they did not have the unit we wanted available.

We used parisvacationapartments.com last month with 100% satisfaction. Renting an apartment was a much better deal than going to a hotel. Just the fact of getting up and making your own coffee and having a glass of OJ in the morning without having to clean up, dress, and wander out was a big plus.

In my experience I don't think it is worth getting an apartment for just a week. We just stay in a hotel.

We hadn't tried the apartment thing before but because we have an infant new it would be much better for her so she could move around, take naps, etc. (Although most of her naps ended up being on park benches). For a similar amount of $$ you can have essentially a home rather than a room. I'm sorry I didn't explore this option sooner.

Another vote for rentparis.com. The prices were reasonable, our apartment was very nice, and they were available for any number of days.

I would always consider renting an apartment for a week after doing it this time. The advantages were so great over a hotel. Much more spacious, more privacy, full kitchen and laundry facilities, fully stocked dining room, large bathroom and separate room with toilet and sink. And the price was the same or less than we would have had to pay for three people in a cramped hotel room.

We have used rentparis.com twice. We were totally satisfied. Most of the apartments are in the marais. I love the marais and have always stayed in that arrondisement. We rented for a week in February, but the year before rented for 3 nights. I'll never stay in a hotel again.

I am going to Paris this spring, and am dealing directly with the owners through VRBO - vacation rentals by owner. They have a large selection of prices, sizes, neighborhoods; and you avoid agency fees, which some companies have. I have contacted previous renters of the apartment where I will be staying, and got glowing reviews of my selection. Haven't been there yet, but so far, 100% satisfaction. Good luck!

We were very pleased with vacationinparis.com when we were there this time last year. Good locations, great prices, and everything was just as pictured/described on the web site.

My daugher and I are renting this apartment in May.
http://www.vrbo.com/60877

It works for us because the lounge can be the second bedroom. It's a few steps off the Trocadero and the price is great. Will report back when we return.

We will be renting from Parisperfect.com in January 2006 for 8 nights. We are renting the Romanee 2 bedroom flat that appears to be very nice and new. I don't know what your budget is but ckeck out their website. We normally spend $350-500 a night when in Paris. We have always wanted to see what a week in Paris would be like. "Kind of live there". (but not work) I hope it lives up to the photos. Also, the owners seem to be very real! I will write upon my return of our stay. There has been a lot of hipe regarding their apartments. I will give all the low down.
