Thanks for the clarification. The original post says it was a mistake that was broadcast and the subsequent post were in the nature of trying to take advantage of the situation before it was corrected. I wasn't speculating about it.
The ethical question had to be asked. I'm the sort that points it out when I'm being rung up too low or getting too much change. Any semblance of getting over in a situation eats away at me immediately. It would literally dog me like the tell-tale heart. (And I should sincerely hope that an occasional mistake didn't lead someone to call me "dumb" or a "bad employee." I've never heard of someone who was immune to human error.)
Thanks for your thoughts, folks. I'm sure we'll all find our way to Paris this year.

It was still a fortunate post for me. I'd been shopping for airfare and was kicking myself for not taking the $663 I'd found earlier for FRA.
Now, I'm even happier because I can add airfarewatchdog.com to my list of favorites. Thanks all.

I doubt it was a mistake. I talked with a United Airlines representative over the phone yesterday (not booking, just a question) and he did not seem surprised that I found this fare.
I also got an email from United about a week ago advertising low rates to Germany.
This morning I found United fares LAX-CDG as low as $491. Some low ones out of Orange County. They are definitely running some great fares.
How many of you are going to wear your Fodor's pins while in Paris? If I can find it, I'm going to wear mine.

We purchased our tickets last night RT from LAX to CDG for $535 each, I can't believe it! And at the moment I was on the phone with our friends saying we shouldnt wait, I checked United and the price went back up to over $900. Luckily my husband was on another page with expedia and we booked it through them. What a savings!
