I've was watching the coverage of the attacks on CNN all morning in the break room at work. We were all asked to go home at about noon today. I drove home in a state of shock. I can see the NYC skyline during part of my drive home. Folks, the twin towers have literally disappeared from the skyline. I am still not quite able to believe that this has happened.

Thanks to the poster who started this thread, I became aware of this tragedy very early on and have been thinking of little else but the people of NY, Pittsburgh and those in the Pentagon since then.

I came home from work to finally see the news coverage on TV and was shocked all over again that any human could do this to another.

My deepest sympathies are with all of you affected by this tragedy, and for the whole world. Terrorism has taken a whole new leap into hell.

Kavey

WTC Building 7 now has collapsed as well. More buildings in the area remain in jeopardy. The area was evacuated as well as it could have been, but the destruction is not over yet.

Talk of retaliation and retribution is beside the point, almost. There is no way to truly bring to justice those who made this attack against mankind today.

I just want to thank the first two or three posters, as I would not have known what was going on, if they had not posted.
I happened to take a look here early that day, and saw this post and thought it was another one of the crazy people here posting a really really bad post.
I left the computer and turned on the tv immediately and saw the first tower on fire. Shortly after, the second plane hit tower two.
Thank you for letting us know, as it gave me a chance to call home and find out where my family was, before most lines became to busy.
