One of the planes was reportedly an American Airlines Boeing 757 that took off from Boston. BBC is saying 6 killed, hundreds injured.

Bush, in Florida visiting a school, made a brief statement in which he called the crashes an act of terrorism. Cheney, who is in Washington, earlier in the administration had been put in charge of an anti-terrorist task force, presumably has put his team into action on investigation. Bush is enroute back to DC.

Six people are the number of people who were killed in the bombing of the world trade center in 1993. Sadly, I suspect the fatality list is much higher this time, however I don't think anyone has publically speculated on a number. <BR>

North Tower hit first; 18 mins later a second plane hit the South Tower. A third plane went into the Pentagon, which has been evacuated. White House is evacuated and reports are AirForce One will be in the air soon (this is where the Prez goes when we declare war). All air traffic is stopped over the U.S.; anything other than AirForce One will be shot down. <BR> <BR>One of the Twin Towers just collapsed when a third plane hit it. <BR> <BR>We are at war, folks.
