i know this is difficult and there are many variables. But which of these two would you visit for a 14 day trip if you could. we like food history, and scenery during the month of May 2014?

I love Andalusia - but if you have never been to Tuscany I would go there.

Food in Italy is almost all excellent (Venice aside) - while food in Spain is more mixed. And the scenery of Tuscany is lovely and green - whicle southern Spain tends to be very hot and dry (this is where they filed all those Clint Eastwood westerns).

If you have never been to Tuscany, I'd visit there first. While we love Andalucia, Tuscany is a place we return to again and again. Tuscany in May will be especially lovely.

The dry zone he´s reffering to is, indeed, a very small zone in the province of Almeria. Andalucia will be very hot in the central months of summer, like august. But may is a great moment to visit it, also depending on the zone you move.

You can find there almost everything you want. Deserts, beaches, mountains full of ancient trees with big rivers and waterfalls, snow etc

If you haven't been to Tuscany, I would start there. WIth 2 weeks, you can also visit another destination such as Rome.
