TURKEY- logistics...hire private driver?

Hello again!
thank you all for your help in planning my Turkey adventure!!! Wondering if I could get some advice on how best to see what I want to see in the 11 days I have on the ground! I can't seem to find any posts about people hiring private drivers and I know the intercity flights aren't that convenient.
I'm interested in going from Istanbul to Ephesus (spend the day here) then down south to the area around Kas to spend a few days and get on a boat...from that region i'm hoping to go up to Capadoccia to spend a few days before heading back to Istanbul. Any recommendations? I'm travelling with my sister and don't feel comfortable doing the driving myself. Has anyone used private drivers to make this round?
thanks so much in advance!
best,
k

Many intercity flights are actually quite convenient and hiring private drivers may make better sense at the airport when you arrive at Izmir for Ephesus and points South, and at Kayseri or Nevsehir for Cappadocia.

My first choice would be checking with the larger car rental companies like Avis, Hertz, Budget, National and the local ones like Proper, cizgi, etc. for Western and Southern Turkey

And your hotel at Cappadocia for that area.

This will be cheaper and less tiring than driving to all your objectives.

The above post will probably be erased because self-advertisement is not allowed on Fodors or any similar forum.

Wanderfilms, I would like to comment on you not being comfortable doing any driving. I was in Turkey 2007 on a solo trip. I took a ferry from Rhodes Greece to Marmaris Turkey and then utilized pulic transportation to get to Selcuk (outside Ephesus) as a base for 5 nights. I used buses to explore the region. If I went back to that area of Turkey again I wouldn't hesitate renting a car. The road system is wonderful, signage good and the Turks are incredibly friendly and helpful. Combine the above with a GPS and driving a rental car would be easy. I might suggest you fly from Istanbul to Izmir. Pick up a car at the airport and it's a simple drive down to Selcuk. (I took a taxi from my hotel in Selcuk to the airport). Then, I wouldn't hesitate driving from Selcuk to Kas. I'm not sure how old you are, but, at 59 I wouldn't hesitate renting a car solo in that region of Turkey. I'm not sure why you are reluctant to drive. I'm just commenting that if I had to do it over with what I know now, I would rent a car in a heartbeat.

Check
http://www.viamichelin.com/
and
http://en.mappy.com/

Neither was a perfect predictor of driving times for my recent trip to Turkey, but they should together give you a sense of the times.
