Hi Andi..so glad you and Sydney had a wonderful trip. We are leaving for the south of France in a week. I,like you, have not had my heart in this trip. Usually, I love going to Europe. I want to thank you for reporting. You made me feel better. Now, I better start getting ready for this trip(lol).

I am going to Paris in June with my 26 year old daughter. Thank you for letting us know of some great places to visit. We are on the budget plan and are staying at a hotel named Kyriad Alesia in the 14th district at 32 Rue Des Plantes, does anyone know where it is and is it off the beaten path. Any suggestions how to get there from the airport. Appreciate any feed back.. Thanks you

Andi, I'm so glad you had a good time! On the 21st I decided to skip the Vagenende (glad I did) and went to Au Temps Perdu, where I saw a lovely mother and daughter having dinner and couldn't help but wonder if they were you!

Andi, my 35 yr old daughter and I were in Paris the very next week, and it is truly wonderful to have a daughter as your friend and to share such wonderful experiences. We also did the "free" fashion show at Gallerie Lafayette and shopped our way down the seven floors - it turned out not to be so "free!!" Great fun. I think one thing we learn from our trips is that we must not let perceived danger keep us from living. The day we flew out there was a plane crash in Milan which turned out to be a private jet and totaly an accident, but my stomach did a few flips when I heard the news. I don't know when I will be able to return, but I definitely am not throwing away any of my notes!
