Trenitalia - Booking adjoining tickets
I've been trying to book two tickets (where we want to sit together) on the EC travelling from Stresa to Lausanne and it always gives me seat numbers like 12 and 14, or 21 and 23. Here in Australia, when you book two seats together the numbers run on eg. 21 and 22 or 10 and 11. On the EC train how are the seats oragnised in the carriages ? Does 12 and 14 mean we are sitting together, or opposite each other ? Thanks for your help in this.

Does this site have any info on this? I found some good hints on how to book thru Trenitalia. Sorry as you might surmise from the name I am decidedly green at this, and all things computery...I do not know how to embed a link!

The numbers of your reservation mean that your seats are one in front to the other.
The seats in the italian trains start from the seat near the window then the seat in line with this, after the seat near the window in front of the other ....

To Senga - yes I feel better booking as we are travelling 20th April, 2 days off Easter friday, and need to leave at a certain time.
To GaryCa - no problem with trenitalia, booked this morning and have our reservations.
To all replies - Thank you so much for your help.
