Trendy Perfume in London

I'm still wondering if anyone knows what the scent is that everyone's wearing in London these days. Another thread was posted, and of course pulled, because of way it was worded. I'm very curious as to what it is. Does anyone know?

Hm, not sure about London, but the new Giorgio Armani is very hip and trendy in Europe these days.
It's called 'Sensi' and smells heavenly....

Penhaligans is a well-known and very popular English perfumery. One shop is on Wellston in Knightsbridge. I'm a fan of their scent Artemesia.

"Joseph". I think it's by Penhaligan's and only obtainable in the UK as far as I know.

I agree with Patsy, the Harvey Nichols perfume is new and great. Go there, and have lunch in the fifth floor restaurant in true Ab Fab style.

Coco Mademoiselle seems to be popular in the last year as well the Emporio Armani scents. Go to a cosmetic counter in a large department store and ask what the best sellers are!

Are any of these available in the U.S.? Is Jo Malone popular in London? It's quite the rage here in the midwest U.S.!

Hello, Jo Malone IS IN London. And I don't know how it could be all the rage in the Midwest when they only sell it at Neiman-Marcus in the U.S. Oh, yea, there is a Neiman's on every corner in Kansas, Dorothy.

Um.

Nice reply; very friendly and helpful. Besides, the last time I checked, the pony express still ran there. Neiman Marcus sells the stinky water on-line.

Au contraire UM ..Jo Malone is also available in the US at Bergdorf Goodman, and at the Jo Malone Shop in NYC, and at Saks and at Holt Renfrew. And Jo Malone is now an Estee Lauder company.

Dear Um,

Yes, I am somewhat mad I suppose but not when it comes to perfume, which I take very seriously. I am well aware that Jo Malone "IS IN" London, just wondered if people in London wear it or if it's no longer trendy. And by the way, I think you meant to say "yeah" when you said "yea." Lots of people make that mistake.

There are Neiman Marcus shops in Chicago, St. Louis, Minneapolis, and a few in the Chicago suburbs. I think all of those paces qualify as 'midwest'.

when I want to know what scent someone is wearing, I just politely ask. Most acccept that as a compliment to their taste and gladly share.

I've done it many times and have been asked many times,, Just say " The frangrance.perfume, scent , etc, you are wearing is wonderful, might I ask what it is?"

Sorry the first thread was pulled. We noticed the smell on the tube in London and on people walking. We asked some woman wearing the fragrance. She said the name but I could not understand what she said. I did get it was new and in a tall pink bottle. Any one know a name for tall pink bottle perfume?
