LeSports Sac is one of my favorite travel bags. However, if you have a KMart near you, you can find bags very similar to them, with several different names on them: I recently bought an
American Tourister one, and they are much less expensive than Le Sports. You can often find the LeSports at Ross, TJ Maxx or other off-price stores--sometimes even Nordstroms Racks. The only outlet store for LeSports Sac is in Pigeon Forge, TN--was in it last summer and you can order and buy from it. Perhaps the web address above is for it. Most of my 12(in various colors and prints--I'm a "BAG" lady!!) bags have been purchased at outlets, when they were more numerous in the US. I also think that Wal-Mart carries a line similar to them. They never wear out and wash in a machine quite well. MHM

You will enjoy new purchase Holly_uncasdewar!
Also, FYI- Fendi has a very chic designer version of the LeSportsac type parachute nylon totes and bags. It is in their signaturte stripe and logo and is large enough to put tons of new purchases, maps, umbrella, etc in, yet, light weight and collapsable to walk around with. I may have to treat myself on my next Italy trip (depending on Euro situation)and go for it. However, my Le Sportsac still looks stylish and works out great.

Ginn, the Healthy Back Bag from LLBean has a more padded strap while the standard one has a rubber thing on the strap. I've purchased both the standard from a local company and the LLBean version and really prefer the LLBean one. Bean has limited colors available but I use a black one and don't really need a wide range of colors. The Bean one is actually $5 less expensive then the MSRP for the two sizes they carry, small and regular in microfiber (Bean $59 / $69; MSRP $64 / $74). Of course, if you find them locally, then you need to look at cost of taxes (local) and cost of shipping (from Bean) and take that into consideration.

I recently saw in a magazine article that LL Bean is making one of their totebags in bright fashion colors, and has changed the features to include an internal zipper and shoulder-length handles. Price under $30, I don't know the size.

I use a type of Save Your Back bag by Norm Thompson. It converts to a backpack and I adore this purse. They updated it this year with a better outside wallet. (Don't panic, all my valuables are in my money belt, this is just where I store the "small change". I don't put the coins and small bills in the money belt!) I can put a SLR and an extra zoom lens and an Eyewittness travel guide in this thing and not feel dead at the end of the day.
