Can you take an around-the-waist camera bag on Mahale chimp trek?

For the gorillas no bags allowed so I wondered about the chimps. Asante.

I carried a regular backpack plus a camera. And for us, the trekking was much easier, not including the days the chimps came to our camp. You do have to wear masks for germs which was rather annoying (because of the heat) but a small price to pay to be so close. http://www.pbase.com/cjw/image/134889521

I used a camera with an attached lens with a Black Rapid shoulder strap. No bag at all, in other words. Worked like a charm.

Thanks. AndyBiggs, were you sporting the Black Rapid shoulder strap for Kathie Lee? Or did you leave it at home for that venture?
