Transportation from Landshut to Munich Airport?

We are staying in Landshut, Germany 2 nights before taking a flight out of Munich heading back to the USA.

Is there public transportation from Landshut to the airport? and if so, give me some details.

thank you much!

According to Google Maps, get directions, you can take a bus to Munich in less than an hour. You might want to check the train schedule which would probably have good connections to the airport.

You can check the Die Bahn website for connections. I like this template.

http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en

From: Landshut(Bay)Hbf

To: MUC München Airport

There are direct buses (Bus 317) or connections through Freising (ALX or RE trains connecting with Bus 635).

It does not fully list the fare. Train for two from Landshut to Freising is ~16 €. Bus 635 to airport was about 3€ per person last December.

With or without connections take about 50-55 minutes.

Regards, Gary

There is an easier option: the hourly "airport bus" that takes you directly to the airport in about 40 minutes. All of them stop at Hauptbahnhof (central station), some also in Altstadt in the heart of the old town which is probably the most convenient.

P.S. Recheck the timetable when you are there, as this is the 2012 one they have on their website.

As quokka wrote, the hourly airport bus should be your first choice.
