Train from Nice to Villefranche

I'm travelling to Villefranche off season and I'm just wondering about getting from the airport to Villefranche-sur-mer. My flight arrives at 7.30pm on a Sunday evening. Allowing for collecting baggage etc, will there be trains running to Villefranche at that time or do they stop in the evening? Help would be greatly appreciated.

I suggest you take a taxi from the airport to Villefranche. It is not very far from Nice. To get to the train station, you will have to take a taxi anyway. If you don't have a lot of luggage, you can take a shuttle bus from the airport to the bus depot and catch another bus to Villefranche. Is your destination in the centreville of Villefranche? If not, take a taxi from Nice airport.

I have to disagree about a taxi--Villefranche is actually a fair distance from the Nice airport, which is at the far end of the Promenade des Anglais. So I think the suggestion about the bus is an excellent idea.

Thank you so much for your help. I don't mind getting a taxi as long as it wouldn't cost more that 50 euro. The bus doesn't bother me either but I just wanted to make sure that there will be a bus running to Villefranche at that time of night. Anybody know?

Fairly recently there was a thread about trains from Nice to Villefranche, and I think it included a mention of bus schedules.

The reference library of a city near you may have the Thomas Cook European Timetable. Table 5 shows that bus number 99 leaves Nice airport every 30 minutes and takes 20 minutes to nice station. Table 360 shows that trains leave Nice at 2003 and 2112 and take 8 minutes to Villefranche station.
