In Frankfurt there are two main stations for long distance trains, Frankfurt Flughafen Fernbahnhof (Fernbf) (Frankfurt Airport long distance station), and Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (Hbf) (main station, in the town, 10 mins by train from the airport). Many trains stop at the airport, so you would need to check the schedule to see if your train stops there, and it will save you going into the city. Check schedules with www.bahn.de .

The Flughafen station is next to Terminal 1 at the airport.

The train goes to Nurnberg where you connect with a bus that will be just outside the main doors of the Nurnberg train station. You book both the train and bus tickets together.

You can take the train/bus directly from the airport. I would pick up some food at the airport (if possible) before you get on the train. The food service on the bus is beverage/snack only. There will be little time at Nurnberg train station to buy food but you could do it if one person stops for some sandwiches and the other goes directly to the bus.

Both posters are correct.

At the airport, there are several food vendors on the way from Terminal One to the train platforms. And as was pointed out, there are several at the Nürnberg train station as well.

Actually you can catch a train from the Frankfurt airport to Dresden then change to a train that goes to Prague. But there is an hour layover in Dresden and the total trip time is about 8 1/2 hours for 78E vs. a trip time of about 6 1/4 hours for 118 E if you use the train/bus combination described by Adrienne...

Travelforbeer - where are you getting those prices? Pricing depends on when the trip is - I didn't pay any where near E118 for Frankfurt to Prague. I can see pricing for E39 for the train/bus.

We did this trip in reverse and it was quite easy.

On a random date in June, full fares are about 100 euro for the ICE/bus combo. Savings Fares are 49-59 euro.

You can get a Nuremberg-Prague return ticket on the express bus for 39 Euro Sparpreis on DeutscheBahn's website if you book far enough in advance.
