oops - missed the "AM" bit

I only saw a bit of Alberon. That was a morning I was having a bit of trouble w/ the sound so only watched bits and pieces. He probably got some fabulous photos.

I like Barry Teeth, the Beet Poet, but mostly for his About Me section.

Visually he's a plump guy with a baseball cap, reading poems like I Know How Barack Obama's Brother Feels.

I like Barry's poem about Alice, "a woman I haven't got anymore."

Naked guy painted red w/ a metal drum between his legs alert!

He started out seeming pretty conservative - shirt & tie and sitting on the edge shaving his bald head and beard. I come back 20 mins later and the guy is just about buck nekkid and all sorts of folks are dancing shirtless below the plinth . . . .

Hi fans. Glad you liked the show, I have to agree with you that I was probably the best artist on display so far.

I actually wrote a new poem, live, while I was atop the plinth, you can find it, and my other gems, at my blog : http://barryteeth.blogspot.com/

Enjoy!

If they all start googling themselves we're in trouble.

Hey, that guy from One Foot in the Grave is up there now.

Well, it kind of looks like him anyways.

Especially if we call them "plump" behind their backs.

It's okay, stoke- he read "plump" as "the best artist on display so far."

One Foot in the Grave's tuba playing is draining my will to live. It sounds like he's just blowing random notes.

I wish I had a similar ability to interpret comments about myself. Oh, how happy I would be.

There's a young women up now and of course she's attracting major drunks. She just had to tell a couple of guys off. She's ticked.

Here's a little something to compliment our plinth obsession-

A quick spot about the plinthers from Charlie Brooker's new show- about half way in is...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCel93T04VI

...the best drunk heckler ever. Does anyone know who that plinther is? I'd love to go back and watch her for that heckler alone.

And here, jump forward to about 6:10 to see...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZbmglmxI54

...the dancing man in the red suit- who is he? He had me in stitches.

Is that the mermaid? Why are PETA chicks always so quick to get naked? Although in her defense, she using her mermaid hair to cover up.

despite having a pretty liberal view of 'what is art?', i don't get this. we already have big brother, britain's got talent, and other mechanisms for people to get their '15 minutes'. by what measure is this anything new other than to just try to elevate what has already been done over and over to some kind of higher art form?

the safety net is there for very obvious reasons but it completely ruins any asthetic that this might have...so the plinth has very little to do with this from a visual perspective. they could very well have just put up a stage in the square and everyone could do their britain's got talent audition there.
