Tours FROM Rome

Visiting Rome for 4 days in November is it possible to take a tour of the Amalfi/Positano coast in a one day excursion. What would the weather be at that time. Can anyone suggest alternative picturesque tours from Rome?
Thanks for your help.

In my opinion this area is hard for the
first timer to drive so you might want to consider a company like Vastours. I
used this tour company last October and
they also offer a day trip to Ostia Antica and Pompeii. Bear in mind that you will be on a bus with 40 others. November weather in Rome/Amalfi is mild but prone to rain. A light jacket should be all you will need, but check
a site like CNN for Italy weather right
before your leave. Have a great trip.

There is some good info on day tours on www.enjoyrome.com
There is so much to see in Rome itself, you won't have any trouble filling in your 4 days!
Kay

Hello Mags,

The Rome coach tour companies like Vastours, Appian etc. all offer POMPEI/SORRENTO or CAPRI/SORRENTO but not the Amalfi Coast as a day-trip.

However it IS doable by public transport with careful planning around bus/train timetables, - though you'd need to make an early start.

[I remember someone last year planned a day-trip from Rome to Positano/Amalfi Coast + Pompei]

A long day, - but logistically feasible.

Let me know if I can be of more help ...

Steve
