To those who have posted questions
I have noticed tonight when I post an answer to a thread someone has started that on the left side of the screen it will still show zero replies. But if you click on your thread the answer is there.
So any of you that have started threads might want to click on the thread even though it appears there are no answers. Once you do that the other posts show up.
Fodors is going to start maintenance on this site so maybe things are going to start getting a bit out of whack for the rest of the weekend.

I've noticed for a while now that when I reply to a post, it doesn't immediately send it to the top either. When the page "refreshes" itself, that post stays there with the same previous number of responses indicated -- maybe that's what you're talking about.
In fact, various strange things have been happening here. I posted a reply, then immediately posted another one to the same thread. After I posted, I noticed my two were immediately following each other. Then I went back 10 minutes later and there was someone else's post between my two. How did it get "inserted"?
Yes, let's hope the maintenance fixes some problems.

Hello Patrick,
If someone else started composing a response before you started composing your second response, but was still busy typing when you hit the "POST MY REPLY" button for your second post, his/her post will be inserted between your two posts when he/she eventually clicks on the "POST MY REPLY" button for his/her post.
In other words, the order in which posts appear is determined by the times at which posts are initiated rather than by the times at which they are completed.
At least that's been my observation in the past.
