Ticketavenue.com ????

I booked opera tickets in March for our June trip to Paris thru Ticketavenue.com. The tickets were charged to my credit card and paid for and I thought we were all set. However, their website is no longer available and no one answers at the telephone number. Last year we booked thru them and everything was perfect. Anyone have any info about this booking agency? Are they still in business?
If not, what happens with the tickets I bought and which I am to pick up the night of the performance with a voucher that they are supposed to fax to my hotel??? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I tried reaching them through www.hotelboulevard.com and the server has been lost.I would keep calling, and perhaps check with Paris travel burea.Or check directly with the Opera house, they will probably know if the ticket venue is gone/closed/just broken for now.Good luck.

Contact your credit company as soon as possible. They were in trouble for a while and now they are out.

I don't know about ticketavenue.com, but hotelboulevard.com I was searching for since April. The site was not there.

Unfortunately, you're out of luck, just like I was last week. I bought, through TicketAvenue (as recommended by the Expedia.com website) vouchers for a shuttle to/from CDG airport to Paris, as well as a tour through Cityrama. When I arrived at the airport, the shuttle company told me that as of June 6, 2002, TicketAvenue no longer exists, the reservations were never made, and I was frauded of the $300+ I paid to them via credit card last April.

I ended up taking a taxi (50 Euros each way) to/from the airport, and re-booking the tour through Cityrama directly.

Now that I'm home, I'm dealing with my credit card company to try and recover the $300 I lost to TicketAvenue.

I am topping this as i had a terrible time with hotel boulevard last year alos. they confirmed a reservation at one price on a hotel and then called to tell me they were changing the room rate to double.
I hope that in some small way my posting of this terrible experience helped lead to there down fall and will show that we as consumers can help put BAD travel businesses out of business for good.
For those who lost money I ma very sorry your credit card companies should be able to get your money back

I would not want an entire company to collapse just because I had a bad time.
We used Ticketavenue on two seperate trips to Paris, got wonderful tickets last year to the Opera Garnier, they were nothing but nice and helpful.
Sorry that others did not have such good things to say,but I am also sorry that these people had to close their business.

So, why haven't you phoned the hotel to see if your "voucher" has been faxed??? If it hasn't, you must set about disputing the charge with your credit card provider. Most often, if you never received what you paid for, the charge will credited immediately. I'm just wondering why you haven't followed any of the useful advice you received on the AOL boards. How do you say "gone" in French? (Or, how do you say "duh" in French?)

Message for Arlie -- TicketAvenue was not supposed to send vouchers to my hotel. Instead, they did, as requested, email to me confirmation information for both the airport shuttle and Cityrama tour. I guess the fault is mine for going through a "third party" company...which by the way, I read great reviews about on this website.
